The winter bride

26/12/2020

Times change, like the seasons. And, sometimes, what seemed out of the ordinary before, turns into something desired and sought after later. The winter wedding represents a sophisticated counter-trend, stripping away any "cons" in favor of numerous advantages. In fact, the winter bride can indulge in playing around with details and accessories to match her dream dress to create a sparkling, fairy-tale atmosphere.

Not only fabrics...

One of the first things the mind focuses on is the type of fabric to figure out how to shine, without suffering the cold. Colder temperatures, however, are not the only condition on which to base style choices.

Warming emotions

Snowy locations, mountain landscapes, fairy-tale architecture. The delicate sky, sighing through a firm breeze. The most stringent months retain a unique charm, capable of warming the soul, even when the thermometer reads low.

The wedding, at that time, is often tinged with a "total white" style, fresh and pure as snow, enriched with points of light, evoking ice crystals. This, starting from the preferred venues for the ceremony and reception, through the decorations and arrangements of the entire day, to the bride's dress, with attached accessories.

The outfit of the winter bride

Covering up does not mean hiding: choosing the right dress allows you to play with the elements, without losing grace and sensuality. For those who love long sleeves, a symbol of elegance, a good solution is to opt for a corset entirely made of French lace, which can create an extremely romantic atmosphere. As in the case of the model 2017, by Stefano Blandaleone, an example of great femininity, decisive but at the same time delicate. Silk is the undisputed co-star of the creation, a fabric that lends itself to fairy-tale and sparkling atmospheres.

But there are those who prefer a ¾ sleeve, for example, such as the 2008 model. Wearing it, the bride makes her refinement explicit by means of the lace details, the mikado sash - a fabric is much in use in the winter period, due to its fuller nature - and the predominance of organza, but leaves a more seductive spirit to the imagination, thanks to the "see-through" effect of the sleeves.

With the model 2023, however, the sleeves disappear and, in their place, is taken over by a wide Georgette cape, suitable for covering the shoulders, in case of need. Completing the dress, a very glamorous hood, which leads back to the world of fairy tales. The presence of sleeves, however, does not depend exclusively on the dress model: in the case of Blandaleone's designer creations, in fact, each dress can be customized, adding them where they are missing.

Accessories

An outfit, however, is not complete without accessories, and in the winter season the range of possibilities widens. Thanks to a cape, even in tricot, a small bolero or faux fur stoles, it is easy to transform yourself into a snow queen. If you prefer a more modern style, mikado or duchesse jackets lend themselves more to the purpose. Gloves, short or long, make the bride's style original and give an even more refined and regal look.

To complete the wedding look, the crystals on the bodice of the dresses that, like frost, catch the bright rays of the sky. But also, the diamonds that stud earrings, necklaces, bracelets... all the way to the footwear! Whether the choice falls on classic closed pumps, or boots and ankle boots, cancan style, the result is sure to be stunning.

It is thus clear that, from head to toe, the peculiarities of the winter bride are as distinctive as they are delicate. Important elements, such as gloves and stoles, stand in contrast to the predominance of white and the dream of light reflections.
