The Italian designer of dreams: Stefano Blandaleone! We publish below the 'full interview given to journalist Gaia Luisa Bafaro by fashion designer Stefano Blandaleone!

An all-Italian dream come true! A love story for Italian bridal fashion and brides. Emotions and joy of unrepeatable moments carved in the memory and heart of every bride! Here is the full interview. And let the dream begin!

Some time ago we had the pleasure of meeting haute couture bridal designer Stefano Blandaleone.
He is an artist of fabrics, able to achieve a sculptural effect in his dresses through Italian haute couture techniques.

Her dresses are true works on fine fabrics such as pure silk and original French Leavers lace.

The milliner is personally engaged throughout the entire process, starting with the selection of fabrics and the pattern sketch, and then moving on to paper-pattern fabrication and final distribution in the Atelier.

In fact, Stefano is one of the few to meet exclusively in the best Boutiques in Italy, future brides who would like to wear a piece from his collection, guiding them on the choice of the most suitable dress for their physicality and wedding theme.

In this regard, in September will restart the project named "Stefano Blandaleone Tour" where, not only will it be possible to meet the designer but, newlyweds will be able to view and try on dresses from the 2021 collection that will feature a riot of flowers and sculpture tails.

We at Acre Network interviewed Stephen, below are some of the questions addressed to him.

How did your passion for fashion come about?

"Since I was a child, I dreamed of two things ," says the designer, " doing business and working in the fashion world. I liked to dress in style and on Saturdays ,as soon as possible, I would go to Milan to enter the stores of the big brands on Via Montenapoleone, della Spiga and Corso Manzoni,in the heart of the shopping streets, breathing in the fashionable air."

Did your family support your life choice?

My family is composed of magistrates and high state officials (including Attilio Blandaleone the former Attorney General of Calabria) and he did not know this world reason why, despite himself, he hindered me.

I was driven to pursue legal studies, and soon after, I won the competition for police inspector, becoming the youngest commander of the Turin police compartment.

However, I was not happy and going against the expectations of all my relatives ,I abandoned the path I had taken to open an Atelier in Alessandria while in Casale Monferrato, my city of birth, I had begun work to build a structure that would contain management, tailoring and a warehouse.

After a few years I opened new Ateliers in Vigevano and Asti. I used to buy dresses from other companies and personally advise brides during their choice, already when I went to the places where I served, I was not happy with those dresses almost all similar to each other."

When did you create your first collection? What was it called?

"After I opened my business I was not satisfied with the clothes since I felt they did not represent me, so I set out to create them myself in my own business .

It was 2005 when, after a not easy path, my first collection "Le Spose" was born, immediately I had a great success and many Ateliers in Italy became my clients.

The essential rule that has always characterized my work is to follow a completely Made in Italy cycle while, as early as 2011, all my competitors closed their Italian productions to become importers (especially from China, which is the world's leading producer of wedding dresses).

With the advent of social media, I also began to become a public figure and gave both the company and the collection my name "Stefano Blandaleone" to have more brand identity.

All these choices have led me to be a reference point of Wedding and my dresses, have been among the most prestigious Red Carpet: Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival and Rome, at the same time they have also paraded in TV shows such as: Uno Mattina,La vita in diretta and in the Don Matteo series.

Some specials have been aired on Telenorba and La Sposa Tv. As for the paper, I have had articles in Novella 2000 and Visto (of which I occupy the front page these days), White Sposa and White Sposa Russia.

I also edited theatrical costumes dressing Violante Placido and other actresses in their Shakespearean performance of " A Midsummer Night's Dream" on the stages of the Eliseo in Rome and the Manzoni in Milan.

Every now and then I think back to that boy walking through the store windows on a Saturday, and I must say I have come a long way, so I am truly happy and satisfied. Thanks also go to my brides whom I consider part of my dream."

Besides his masterpieces, what is striking about Stephen is his humanity. A person who is certainly important but humble, talking with him is like chatting with a long-time friend, and this those who have been lucky enough to meet him know.

In this very regard, the artist has decided to stand by the brides-to-be and all those involved in Wedding at the current sad time, spreading positive and hopeful messages through live feeds every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5 p.m. on her Instagram profile.

It is a real talk show complete with guests who are experts in the field or simply testimonials from past, present and future brides.

"Since May 4, we have resumed work with great energy and a positive spirit"-says the designer-"we are already producing and shipping the dresses to the best licensed Ateliers."

The health emergency, therefore, has not arrested the enthusiasm of Stephen and his entire team. To date, the state has not provided any real advice on how the Wedding industry should behave, weddings, apart from a few perhaps intimate ones with a few people, have been postponed for at least a year or two leading to a collapse of the industry that estimates a decrease in business of about 26 billion euros between ateliers, restaurants, wedding favors and florists.

However, Stephen Blandaleone does not lose his optimism and continues to appear in photos on social media while pointing with his hands to his signature sign: "V" for victory.

Like a wizard in the textile industry, he works with imagination to continue to make future brides daydream, ready to fulfill the desires of all women whether they want, on their most important day, to be sinuous mermaids, enchanting fairies or majestic princesses,
